Daria: Hi, crazy day today, huh?

Catherine: yeah! So busy! Have you got everything checked?

Daria: Yup, no worries. I've planned everything out.

Catherine: Good. So, what are we to do when Jess arrives?

Daria: Firstly, we're to show her around. She'll probably want to get acquainted with everybody.

Catherine: That sounds like fun. What are we going to do afterwards?

Daria: A little tour around the university. Then we can have lunch at cafeteria.

Catherine: well...or we could go out and show her the city? She'll have lots of meals at the cafeteria later on.

Daria: Yeah, you're right. Then we'll go and take a walk down the embankment.

Catherine: Great! She's going to see the Chkalovskaya stairs as well.

Daria: Yes, that's the plan.

Catherine: After that we could visit Pakrovskaya street, perhaps.

Daria: Awesome! Can't wait to meet Jess.

Catherine: Me too! We'll take lots of pictures and get to ask her so many questions!

Daria: that's your favourite part, isn't it? Asking questions.

Catherine: of course! Not every day you get to meet a foreign student!

Daria: Right. That makes this day so precious and special.

Catherine: Uhm...Daria..shouldn't we be at the station right now picking Jess up?

Daria: OH MY GOSH! CATHERINE! We should! Will you call for a car, please?

Catherine: Don't shout at me, please. I'm freaking out as much as you are. I'm calling already...

Daria: Good..good. I'm sorry, I'm just so nervous. I don't wanna screw up.

Catherine: It's okay. Don't worry.

Daria: Thanks.

Catherine: here we go, let's go.

  • Mark Twain in France
I have just listened the story about a famous American writer Mark Twain. When he was travelling in France, he was going to Dijon by train. He wanted to sleep so he asked a conductor to wake him up when they came to Dijon. He explained that he was a heavy sleeper. He said to the conductor that he would protest loudly when he tried to wake him up. He asked the conductor to put him off the train anyway. Then Mark Twain went to sleep, when he woke up the train was in Paris already. He realized that the conductor had forgotten to wake him up at Dijon. He was very angry with the conductor and began to shout at him. He said that he had never been so angry in all his life. The conductor looked at him calmly and said that Mark Twain wasn't so angry as an another American whom the conductor had put off the train at Dijon.
I don't like this story because the conductor made а mistake and didn't еven say sorry.
