I would like to tell you a story about Balzac, the famous French writer, who was a man of great talent. He is the author of “The Human Comedy”. Balzac was proud of his ability to tell a person’s character by her or his handwriting. He often told his friends that he could tell anybody’s character exactly by his handwriting.
One day a woman friend brought him the boy’s exercise book. The woman said that she wanted to know what Balzac thought of the boy’s character.
She told him that the boy might tell her the truth such as the boy was not her son . Then Balzac said that the boy was a bad and lazy fellow . The woman smiled and she said that it was Balzac’s own exercise book from his childhood.This story seems funny to me. Unfortunately, we do not recognize Balzac’s reaction, but I think he was surprised and laughed at this situation
